From first conversation to final delivery, our process is structured to allow you to enjoy the creative journey while we manage the timeline, logistics, and behind-the-scenes details of bringing your stationery suite and day-of details to life.

Consultation

Start by filling out our inquiry form or reaching out via email with your event details and vision. We’ll schedule a meeting to connect, discuss goals, and define your creative direction. Not sure exactly what you want? No problem, you don’t need a definitive idea before inquiring. Our role is to guide you through the options and provide recommendations rooted in our experience that are tailored to your priorities.

Proposal

Next, you’ll receive a tailored proposal with an initial design concept and detailed line-item pricing to help you visualize the creative direction and review the investment. Once approved, a signed contract and 50% deposit will secure your event date. We’ll then prepare your stationery timeline with key dates, and share friendly reminders at each milestone to ensure your process stays seamless and on schedule.

Design

This is where it all starts to come to life! Our team will prepare a digital proof featuring your custom artwork, including a flatlay-style mockup of the full suite alongside proofs of individual pieces. As part of our full-service design package, we offer unlimited revisions to ensure you're not only satisfied, but thrilled with every detail of your custom stationery.

Production

Upon design approval, we’ll issue the remaining invoice and begin production on your stationery. This phase typically takes 3–8 weeks and will be outlined in your personalized timeline. Our white-glove mailing services include expert assembly and multiple quality checks, including two separate envelope name reviews, to ensure flawless execution. Whether mailed on your behalf or delivered directly to you, every item leaving our studio is individually inspected to meet the highest standards.

Delivery

Once production and assembly are complete, we’ll coordinate with your planner to ensure all stationery items arrive on schedule in accordance with their organizational preferences. With all of your design decisions made and delivery details handled, you can focus on celebrating with your loved ones and enjoying an event that truly reflects you—from first to final impression!

With a foundation in fine art and expert craftsmanship, StoryBird Design offers more than physical stationery. Acting as your paper concierge, we guide you through a thoughtful creative process. Specializing in custom paperie for weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events, our work transforms your vision into an innovative, elevated concept.

Recommended Lead Times

Plan to inquire 10–12 months in advance for save the dates, 7+ months for invitations, and 4+ months for day-of stationery. We encourage early outreach, as we limit monthly bookings to ensure every client receives attentive service.

Print Methods

Our designs incorporate a wide range of print techniques, including digital printing, letterpress, foil stamping, embossing, and debossing. These methods are often paired with distinctive touches such as die-cut shapes, laser-cut details, and custom folios. Beyond paper, we love weaving in textured elements like fabric, leather, wood, and acrylic to create invitations and signage that offer a truly sensory experience.

Investment

Custom event branding and stationery suites begin at $3,000. StoryBird's custom wedding stationery suites average around $7,000+ depending on scope. A la carte day-of detail packages are also available. Please inquire to begin building a personalized quote tailored to your preferred quantity, materials, and print methods.

Event Branding Details

As part of your invitation suite, we create a custom logo that debuts with the invitation and extends seamlessly into day-of details. This design may appear on stir sticks, napkins, menus, cups, koozies, dance floors, and more. Each suite is thoughtfully designed with these applications in mind, laying the groundwork for a collection of graphic elements to be featured across your event while avoiding repetition.

Production & Delivery

We produce a wide range of custom stationery in-house and oversee every finishing detail. For specialty materials and advanced print methods, we collaborate with a trusted network of vetted production partners to ensure each piece meets the highest standards of quality and design. To complete the experience, our white-glove mailing and postage services include careful assembly and curated postage to ensure a flawless first impression.
