About StoryBird Design
StoryBird Design specializes in integrating tactile materials and distinctive shapes to create stationery suites and day-of details that engage guests from the first encounter. Rooted in each client’s story, design details may draw inspiration from a venue’s architecture, a couple’s favorite park or landmark, or even a beloved pet. Each custom suite includes the creation of an event logo or monogram, which is carried through paper goods, signage, menus, place cards, and other details to create a cohesive experience.
At the heart of every meticulously-designed suite is the trust our clients place in us. We recognize the honor of being entrusted with life’s milestone celebrations, often dreamed of for years. Prioritizing each client is central to our collaborative process, with a focus on providing open and prompt communication throughout the design experience.
Meet Lindsay
Studio Owner & Designer
Drawing on 10+ years of design expertise, production knowledge, and creative direction, Lindsay brings both artistry and precision to every project entrusted to her studio.
As a young reader devouring everything from fairytales to historical biographies, Lindsay Sappington discovered early on the magic of a well-told story. That passion took new shape at Baylor University, where a love for studio art evolved into a fascination with typography, design, and the tactile beauty of natural materials. After graduation, Lindsay began her professional career in custom invitations, which led to a five-year role as Creative Director at a laser cutting and fabrication studio specializing in high-end event production. After nearly a decade of producing luxury stationery for other notable studios, Lindsay founded StoryBird Design, uniting her expertise with a vision for innovative, highly personal design.
Alongside her talented team, Lindsay's collaborative approach fosters open communication, responsiveness, and a genuine welcome for client input, ensuring that the StoryBird experience is as seamless and enjoyable as the celebration it honors.

The name StoryBird grew from a love of storytelling and visual design. The studio was founded to celebrate both. Inspired by the fairytale idea of birds carrying messages, their songs understood only by those who truly listen, the name reflects whimsical romance and timeless connection. For centuries, birds have symbolized sentiment and communication. In that same spirit, StoryBird Design was created to deliver each client’s story with artistry, intention, and beauty.
